Green Wing Macaw

Color standards: The body is red, green wings with a blue outline. The upper mandible of the beak is white and the lower mandible is black. 

Personality: This is a very social bird when well-educated. It requires a large cage and several wooden toys. His cry is quite disconcerting (sensitive ears, avoid). 

Known health problem: DDA, disorders of the reproductive system, pecking, mutilation, oral and cloaca papillomas. 

Note:
 The second largest of the macaws. Its large size can impress novices. 

Reproduction:
 lays 2 to 3 eggs. Incubation period, 24 to 27 days.
