Zebra Finch

Breed: Zebra Finch, Taeniopygia (Poephila) guttata 

Family (group): Estrildidae 

Nationality: Australia, Indonesia's Flores Island 

Standards: 
Size: 10 cm 

Color standards: Head and neck are gray, the male has orange cheeks but not the female. The body is gray-brown and the tail is striped black and white. The beak is orange-red. 

Personality: It's a sociable cheerful bird, who lives well in a cage or aviary, but not with other zebra finch. 

Known health problems:
 The females are predisposed to egg retention. 

Note: It is recommended to limit to 3 or 4 broods per year. 

Reproduction:
 Lays 4-6 eggs, incubation about 12 days.
