Color standards: The male is green with a slight tinge of red on the chest. Upper mandible orange-yellow. The female abdomen is red with blue-purple with a black bill. 

Personality: The male is often quieter than the female. He can say a few words. His cry can be a deterrent. 

Known health problems: Hypovitaminosis A, feather picking, PBFD, polyomavirus. 

Note: This is one of the few species with a sexual dimorphism. 

Reproduction:
 lays 2 eggs and incubates 28 to 30 days.
