Personality: He is a calm bird easily tamed. It is much less destructive than his Alexander parakeet cousin. 

Known health problems: Subject to eye infections.

 The collar of the male completely appears between the ages of 2 to 3 years. 

Reproduction: Lays 4-6 eggs. Incubation 23 days
