Mustached Parrakeet

Longevity: 20 to 25 years

Standard color: green body, pink throat, bluish head with a black stripe running from nose to the side of the head. Pink-red upper mandible, black lower mandible

Personality: Can be a good pet bird if fed by hand. Its call can be quite strident.

Known health problems: bacterial infection, parasites.

Note: The beak of the female is completely black. This is one of the few parrots to be sexually dimorphic.

Reproduction: 3-4 eggs. Incubation 24 days.
