Standard color: green body, plum head and wings. Thin collar, black lined with blue-purple.

Personality: Very attractive, vocal, bright colors, calm and pleasant company. Melodious song during the breeding season.

Known health problems: Bacterial infections, parasites.

Note: The chicks are completely green with yellow beaks. After the first moulting, the head turns gray. The purple plumage at the head appears after two years and is associated with males only, which makes them easy to differentiate.

Breeding: 4 eggs. Incubation about 24 days.
